Highlights from our Dec/Jan Trip
We were delighted to celebrate the start of 2018 in Cairo, with our much loved Egyptian family worshiping and praying alongside other Christians. Since Christmas is in early January in the Coptic calendar, we experienced for ourselves how the season is observed in this predominantly Muslim country. There were a surprising number of Christmas trees, gingerbread houses and “Merry Christmas” signs! But also constant reminders that the true message of Christmas remains unheard by the vast majority of Cairo’s 23 million residents. During our brief visit we provided additional assistance for the completion of the training center and spend time with our ministry partners planning for a May-June training intensive for Church Planters and Missionaries.
We also played a small role in partnering with World Mission’s efforts to distribute solar digital audio players loaded with the Bible and other discipleship teachings in Arabic, across the MENA region. Please pray that these Treasures get into the hands and hearts of people who are hungry for the Truth.
