LoveCompels is committed to equipping and mobilising christian workers in North Africa and the Middle East

A Little About Us

We started as a cross-cultural family that, somewhere around 2016–17,
recognized God was calling us into the Arab Muslim world. Why? Because the gulf between the existing church in the region and the people who have yet to hear the wonderful message of Jesus is enormous. And because many people there were risking everything to follow Jesus, and we realized that helping them was what we wanted to spend the rest of our lives doing.

So what does our small (but growing team) bring to the table?

Experience

We have done ministry in contexts where we could operate openly—trained leaders in 50+ countries, navigated different cultures, and learned how not to offend (mostly).

Skills

We bring a combination of theological and ministry training experience, business and entrepreneurial background, and experience in community development and trauma-informed care.

Friends

We’ve got BMB partners, prayer warriors, a board who advises us and keeps us accountable, and mentors who remind us when we’re getting ahead of ourselves (which is often).

Humility

We don’t have all the answers. We’re learners, not experts.

We don’t put on a show… we just show up through prayer, friendship, and patient relationship-building. We collaborate with local believers who are doing far more than we ever could. And we try not to take ourselves too seriously—though we take our commitment to love and serve very seriously indeed.

Names stay private. Relationships stay real. The rest you can figure out from here.

What We Do

Empowering Arabic-Speaking Believers

We come alongside our brothers and sisters in the region who have chosen the narrow path to life- often at great personal cost- as they share the hope they’ve found in Jesus with their communities respectfully and authentically. We offer what we can: encouragement, friendship, prayer support, training opportunities and appropriate resources and to help these disciples from Muslim backgrounds thrive. Where possible we collaborate with trusted local Christian partners to broaden our impact.

Multiplying Churches That Look Like Family

When we speak of church, we don’t mean buildings or institutions. These are gatherings of believers in Jesus who worship, pray, study Scripture, care for one another, and embody His love in their neighbourhoods. We pray that gatherings like these multiply across North Africa and the Middle East—small, relational, deeply rooted in local communities, and led by local people. We work to connect emerging leaders with quality training and to cast vision for Christ-centred communities that grow with the help of God’s Spirit. We may also provide modest startup resources for small business or community projects, helping these fellowships sustain themselves rather than rely on external support.

Pathways for Cross-cultural Workers Who Serve Their Communities

We cooperate to create pathways for cross-cultural workers to live and serve in North Africa and the Middle East in ways that are genuinely beneficial to local communities. We want individuals to enter the region not simply as proclaimers, but as neighbours—as people who listen well, contribute meaningfully, and invest in the long-term wellbeing of those they serve. We can provide ongoing mentorship so they remain effective and culturally grounded. For us, faithful witness and faithful service are inseparable—the love of Christ is expressed in both word and deed.

Building Unified Multicultural Teams

We dream of teams where foreign and local workers stand shoulder-to-shoulder—learning from one another, supporting one another, and serving together with humility. Local believers offer irreplaceable insight into their own cultures, communities, and spiritual landscapes, while international workers often arrive with fresh perspectives, resources, and complementary skills. We invest time in bridging cultural gaps and fostering strong partnerships. Above all, we seek to be led by the wisdom of the Holy Spirit and the love of God, trusting that when followers of Jesus multiply together in unity, the church thrives.
